De stevige en robuuste Cabernet Sauvignon doet het goed in Tupungato. Zo goed zelfs dat wijnmaker Mariano beschikking heeft over enkele percelen, die hem druiven geven die goed genoeg zijn voor zijn Reserva. Ze worden zorgvuldig met de hand geoogst en geselecteerd. Alleen het beste en rijpste fruit komt dus in de wijn. De wijn ondergaat een rijping van 9 maanden op Frans en Amerikaans eiken. De Cabernet kenmerkt zich door intense aroma’s van frambozen, zwarte bessen, cacao en vanille. De wijn is krachtig heeft een goede concentratie en het rijpe fruit komt ook in de smaak goed naar voren. De afdronk is goed gestructureerd, heeft lengte en is rijk in smaak.

We are a new operation in the South of France. We started in 2003 with planting 10 hectares of vines and building our winery. Our cellar was completed for the 2005 harvest and we’ve just finished our restaurant on the first floor above the winery. We own another 10 hectares of vines in La Liviniere ( beautiful terroir in the Minervois area) and buy in grapes from all over Languedoc and Roussillon , choosing old vineyards and spotting the best terroirs and cepages to create wines of the best quality that reflect our passion for our region. We use the combination of “Old” and “New” world experience to be an example of “tradition meeting innovation”.
